About Johnson's Real Ice Cream
Family-owned and operated for over 67 years!
In 1950, Grandpa Johnson opened the first Johnson's location in Bexley, Ohio and he has since been an inspiration to three generations of ice-cream makers. He started Johnson’s Real Ice Cream with a commitment to quality, community, and the simple joy of a cold ice cream cone
(or pint, or sundae—there’s no wrong way to eat ice cream).
Each flavor we make is a testament to the things he loved and a reflection of his personal quirks. He was a good man with a contagious laugh who worked hard and always had fun. Thanks for keeping his legacy alive by enjoying his famous flavors!
